Digital Media Production

Youth will experiment with new digital media tools and techniques to document the most important elements of their communities and lives. Students will produce short videos about important places in their community and record video journals providing perspectives on what makes a community more than just a bunch of people and buildings. All of the work produced will be displayed on the website and a special showing will be done for parents, family, friends and community leaders.

Learn to Host Your Own Radio Show!

This hands on workshop is designed to train young people how to produce a live radio show. Through community radio, they can think critically, experiment with digital technologies, and express themselves. Participants will learn how a radio studio works from running the board to interviewing guests. They will be taught how to plan a show, host a show, produce short news spots, and edit audio. The workshop will culminate in a two-hour radio broadcast with students performing every role.
